6月11日（日）に熊本県国際交流会館で「コミュニティー災害リーダーシップ研修」の初回研修「災害とリーダーシップ」を実施しました。
参加者は、ミャンマー、パプア・ニューギニア、インドネシア、マレーシア、フィリピンなど国際色も豊か。地域防災専門家の市居嗣之氏を講師に迎え、災害時の避難所の設計など、参加者の間で熱心な議論が飛び交いました。参加者からは「色んな方々の状況を具体的に考えて避難所のレイアウトを考えることで、新たな視野が開けました」「時間が足りない」など嬉しい声も。次回は災害時の心のケアについて研修を行う予定です（7月予定）。
[Kumamoto : support for foreign residents]
On June 11th, we held the first meeting of the “Community Disaster Leadership Training” , tailored at foreign residents in Kumamoto.
The participants, who come from countries such as Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, learned how to plan and implement evacuation facility from Disaster Risk Reduction specialist, Dr. Tsuguyuki Ichii.
“Thinking about the layout of the evacuation facility and considering the different needs of the evacuees has opened a new perspective for me”, said one of the participants.
“I wish it would have been a longer workshop!” said another.
The next training will be held in July and will tackle the mental-care aspect of disasters.
