建軍東小学校と東町小学校の支援学級の子どもたち23名に合同でヨガを行いました。
まず、初めのあいさつから始まり、一人ひとり大きな声で自己紹介もしてくれました。ヨガでは、元気よく声を出したり、呼吸をしたり、呼吸と合わせて体を動かし、最後のリラクセーションの時間は、お友達同士お互いの足をマッサージしました。
震災前までは、学校同士の交流はなかったそうですが、体育館の利用を通して震災後関わることになったそうです。
JISP continues to support the relief efforts in Kumamoto:
Dr. Ryoko Ohtaki offered a yoga therapy session for 23 kids from the Kengun Higashi and Higashimachi elementary schools.
The session began with a self-introduction; the kids did so with much confidence. They later practiced breathing, movement of the body and even offered massage to each other.
Before the disaster, the kids from these two schools did not have many opportunities to meet other; now both schools use the same gymnasium.
